In Amenity Boss, the two types of apartment limits are limit “by total time” and limit “by group.”

Limit “By Total Time”

This option spreads out the total time granted to the apartment among all passes created. Each pass created is deducted from the maximum time limit. In the example above, the maximum time of 2 hours could be used the following ways:

  • One 2-hr pass per day for an individual

  • Two 1-hr passes per day for the same individual

  • One 1-hr pass per day for two different individuals

  • Four 30-min passes per day for the same individual or one 30-min pass per day for up to four different individuals (if 30-min passes are an option)

  • Etc...

Best for:

The “by total time” option is best suited for amenities like fitness centers, bbq grills, and other amenities most often used by an individual.

Limit “By Group”

This option allows groups to visit an amenity at the same time while counting the group time as a single pass (each person in the group is still required to have their own pass). The maximum group size is set by management. In the example above, the maximum time of 2 hours could be used the following ways:

  • One 2-hr pass per day for a group of up to 4 people at the same time

  • Two 1-hour passes per day for a group of up to 4 people at the same time

  • Four 30-minute passes per day for a group of up to 4 people at the same time (if 30-min passes are an option)

Best for:

The “by group” option is best suited for amenities like pools, theater rooms, and other amenities most often used by a group.
