Looking up vehicle information in Community Boss can be done several different ways.
BEST PRACTICE: Make sure you are logged into your Community Boss account on your cell phone or tablet. If you have access to more than one community, ensure that you are logged into the correct account.
Lookup with Smart Decal
Use a QR code reader app / your device's camera to scan the Smart Decal, or
Select the Lookup field at the bottom of your screen.
Tap the camera icon and use your camera to scan the Smart Decal, or
Enter the Smart Decal number into the field
You can take a new scan, or select a photo from your device's photo library.
If the Smart Decal has vehicle data attached to it you will now see the data attached to the decal on your screen.
Add a note to verify that you checked the Smart Decal or issue a violation if the car is parked improperly.
Lookup without a Smart Decal
From within the Field Agent app select the Lookup field at the bottom of your screen.
Enter the license plate number of the vehicle, or scan the license plate by selecting the camera icon and selecting Plate/Tag.
You can take a new scan, or select a photo from your device's photo library.
Add a note to verify that you checked the vehicle or issue a violation if the car is parked improperly.
Lookup when there is no Smart Decal and no License Plate
If a vehicle does not have a license plate the license plate field placeholder should be VIN + xxxx (the last four digits of the vehicle's VIN number).
NOTE: Some communities use the last five digits of the vehicle's VIN number.
